The Roots Programs
Feed The Streets Program
Initiative
The Feed The Streets program focuses on decreasing the rates of meal insecurity within inner-cities, with a focus on Passaic and Essex County in New Jersey. In this program, we primarily focus on the displaced and homeless community. With your help, we have been able to feed approximately 100 homeless and displaced community members per meal distribution. We continue to commit to our community's homeless population by distributing free, hot meals on a biweekly basis. Once a year, we give away free boxes of groceries to families throughout Passaic and Essex County. We are forever growing and expanding this program- we have so many people to reach. Join us as we FEED THE STREETS!

Sister Link Program
Initiative
Sister Link is a program, within Reach From The Roots, that provides emotional and physical support for inner-city women. We aim to provide women with the necessary information, materials, and skills to live a healthy and wholesome life. We regularly distribute toiletries, clothes, baby products, and more to our homeless women in the community. We also engage in encouraging conversations and equip these women with helpful resources. In all that we do, we want them to know that they are not alone. They are our sisters and we are forever connected and eternally linked.

Peanut Pact Program
Initiative
The Peanut Pact program is designed to decrease rates of gun violence and gun attributed deaths within inner-cities. This program was constructed in loving memory of Jaquell "Peanut" Johnson- a young man who passed, prematurely, in 2013 due to a stray bullet. In his honor, the team collaborates with community members and community organizations, seeking out new and innovative ways to not only decrease gun violence but to also provide financial and mental health resources to inner city young men. Our priority is saving and preserving the lives of our young men- at any cost.
